Biography
Radzhana Buyantueva is a researcher of the Fonds national de la Recherche Scientifique (F.R.S.-FNRS) and holds PhD in Politics. Her research explores the influence of state institutions and political systems on gender and sexuality, as well as the impact of geopolitics and sociopolitical environments (from authoritarianism to democratic transition) on civil society and social movements. She is the author of 'The Emergence and Development of LGBT Protest Activity in Russia' (2022) and co-editor of 'LGBTQ+ Activism in Central and Eastern Europe' (2019).
